Welcome to Beetles of Borneo

The purpose of the web-site is to help local conservationists, international scientists and amateur entomologists in their study of Borneon beetles and we hope that this resource will lead to the integration of insects in local conservation action on the island.

This is an ongoing project which aims to include as many species as possible from the existing NHM collection as well as the incorporation of new material from recent research expeditions.

We are now joined by Prof. Dr. Menno Schilthuizen of Naturalis Biodiversity Center and Leiden University https://www.naturalis.nl/en/ as part of a collaborative initiative in furthering our understanding of the biodiversity of this region.
