pronotum very distinguishing form: it has 2 lengthwise grooves at the base; front margins of pronotum more or less extend along each side of the head. Antennae clubbed, elytra shiny, no striae. Body oval to oblong; tarsi 4-4-4 (obviously 3-3-3).
